GAA Museum and Croke Park Stadium Tour
.................................................................................................................................................
A visit to the GAA Museum is a must for anyone interested in the history and
development of Ireland’s national games of hurling and gaelic football. The
GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) was founded in 1884 and has its
headquarters at Croke Park. In the GAA Museum, interactive and touch-screen
technology help bring to life the unique moments from the past up to the
present day. Visitors can test their own skills in hurling and gaelic football in
the specially designed interactive games area. Visitors to the museum can also
experience Croke Park Stadium. The Stadium Tour goes behind the scenes at
this 82,300 capacity stadium, including dressing rooms, pitch-side, corporate
suites, VIP section and state-of-the-art media centre. Facilities at the museum
are accessible for visitors with special needs, and there is also a gift-shop and
café.
