Millstreet Country Park
.................................................................................................................................................

Welcome to our 203 hectare park - a uniquely individual place where most of your expectations will be realised. Here on the northern slopes of Musheramore Mountain (612 metres) you are indeed special, but nevertheless, just one more traveller coming home in 4,000 year continuum of travellers vising this place since neolithic times. The park experience endeavours to take you on a holistic odyssey that celebrates the evolution of the local landscape, with man and nature in equilibrium. An excellent starting place - the Tuairin Na mBlath visitor centre named after the old Irish name for this valley - the Little Field of Flowers is the heart of the Park where you could find your bearings and begin to savour some of the physical and mystical experiences of this enlightening landscape. Discover the many amenities, enjoy the scenery, and the Park's environmental heritage in all its facets. The Park is large with many miles of trails. Some are short and can be covered quickly by even the most reluctant rambler! Others are more ectensive and can involve a climb up the Park so you may choose to ride them in part on the Park Transport Vehicles, returning to the Visitor Centre to sample fresh, locally grown produce in our restaurant.
