Lord Belvedere’s Hunting Lodge at Lough Ennell stands on 160 acres of
maintained estate, punctuated with numerous follies, the largest being The Jealous Wall built to obscure his brother’s larger house. Belvedere House is fully restored and is noted for its exquisite rococo ceilings and bow end design.
The Victorian Walled Garden exercises all the senses with a fragrant herb garden, old rose beds, tumbling herbaceous borders, alpines, climbers and
vegetable potager. Belvedere plays host to a range of different outdoor events, including Garden Theatre, Garden Festival, Self-Sufficiency Show, Bat Walks, Music Concerts and Dog Shows. Belvedere has a licensed restaurant, shop, Narnia trail, fairy garden, self-sufficency garden, interpretive centre, exhibitions gallery, Apiaries (Beehives), three children's playgrounds and several picnic areas. Conference & Incentive
The top floor of this magnificent 18th century stately home of Robert Rochfort has been beautifully restored and is available for hire for private parties and corporate events. The roofed Courtyard area in the Visitor Centre is also a perfect venue for larger group events, such as fashion shows, exhibitions, product launches, champagne receptions, poetry readings and award ceremonies. Belvedere Sacred Tree Trail
Sun 4th March
Guided walk of the Belvedere forest discovering deep forgotten wisdom, identifying and explaining the significance of Sacred Trees in the Celtic Landscape. 2pm with Bartle D’Arcy Belvedere General Manager. Free.

During Tree Week Belvedere will be distributing over 350 saplings of : Ash,Beech,Rohan,Sycamore,Birch,Oak & Alder on behalf of Westmeath County Council to Schools and community groups in Westmeath.

Guided Woodland Walk in Celebration of National Tree week, with expert members of CRANN
Saturday 10th March
Free Guided Woodland Walk on Saturday 5th March 2012, will be led by expert members of CRANN.
Crann was formed in 1986 with the aim of "Releafing Ireland". Crann is Ireland's leading voluntary tree organisation dedicated to the promotion and protection of our trees, hedgerows and woodlands. It is a membership-based, non profit registered charity uniting people with a love of trees. Probably Crann is now best known for its quarterly high quality Crann magazine and for the numerous school visits we provide.
The Woodland walk begins from Belvedere main reception at 2pm.
This is a weather dependent event; please wear warm clothing and sensible footwear!
Walk will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and all people attending on the walk will be given a complimentary sapling to bring home and plant.
