Kildare Historic Town
The Town dates from the 5th century when it was the site of the original Church of the Oak and monastery founded by St. Brigid. This became one of the three most important Christian foundations in Celtic Ireland.

KILDARE VILLAGE ANNOUNCES JOHN MINIHAN EXHIBITION
“Minihan –- A celebration of Film Photography”
Kildare Village, one of the Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages by Value Retail is delighted to announce that renowned Irish photographer John Minihan is returning to the Village with his new exhibition featuring 27 images spanning more than 50 years of film photography.
“Minihan –- A celebration of Film Photography” is now open and will remain open until Thursday 31 May.
The exhibition features iconic photographic works from the world of fashion, art and film, from Andy Warhol to Yves Saint Laurent. Spanning more than 50 years, John’s portraits capture each individual’s character and are all the more poignant because of the universal appeal of many of the people photographed.
This collection of truly iconic photography is the most comprehensive show of John’s work to date. Visitors will be treated to images from the beginning of John’s career back in 1962 to his most recent portrait shot of Shane MacGowan, whom he photographed only last month.

By Car:
From Dublin
From Dublin city centre, follow signs for the N7 - South, pass Heuston station and continue to the roundabout, then turn left onto the R111 (signposted N11/N81). At the traffice lights turn right onto Inchicore Road, then bear left onto Tyrconnell Road and onto the Naas Road (N7). Continue along the Naas Road (N7) following signs for the N7/South. Follow the N7 until it becomes the M7. Leave the M7 at exit 13 for Kildare/Nurney. Take the third exit off the roundabout for Kildare; crossing over the motorway take the first exit at the roundabout and at the next roundabout take the third exit for the Kildare Village.
From Cork/Limerick
From Cork take the M8 or from Limerick take the N7. Then follow the M7 towards Dublin. Leave the M7 at exit 13 for Kildare/Nurney. At the first roundabout take the first exit signposted Kildare, then at the next roundabout take the third exit for the Kildare Village Outlet.
From Dublin Airport
If you are arriving at Dublin Airport, follow signs for the M50. Leave the M50 at exit 9 and join the N7 South to Cork/Limerick. The N7 then becomes the M7 - leave at exit 13 for Kildare/Nurney. Take the third exit off the roundabout for Kildare; crossing over the motorway take the first exit at the roundabout and at the next roundabout take the third exit for the Kildare Village.
Once at the Village you can park free of charge in one of the 850 parking spaces.
