The Lough Gur experience begins outdoors at Ireland’s largest and oldest stone circle. A local tour guide will invite you to explore ancient Ireland. Follow your guide to the prehistoric authentic sites in Lough Gur where the earliest settlers once worshiped and lived. The visit concludes with a lake front excursion and ending in the newly restored Lough Gur Heritage Centre which offers an engaging overview of Lough Gur’s global importance.

Ticket Prices - Lough Gur Full Outdoor Tours
The cost per person for a full outdoor tour is €17.00 per person. It is suitable for children over 8 years of age. The tour will be conducted according to the mobility level of each group or individual. Booking is essential for all outdoor tours.

It is advised to wear weatherproof clothing and suitable footwear for walking when taking these tours.
DINING / REFRESHMENTS
Tea, coffee and light refreshments available on-site. For lunch, Reardons bar located 2km from Lough Gur lakefront and the Bakehouse in Bruff 4km from Lough Gur offer a full menu. Both venues have a 120 seat capacity.
Wonderful picnic facilities including multiple lakefront picnic tables.
Gift shop on-site selling books of special interest in terms of history, archaeology and the environment. Lough Gur souvenirs and keepsakes, postcards, bookmarks and pens.
Free car and coach parking on-site.
The Lough Gur Visitor Centre is wheelchair accessible. Accessible toilets. The full tour is not accessible to wheelchairs because of the nature of the terrain.

Lough Gur is located 21Km’s from Limerick City on the R512. Leaving Limerick City by the Kilmallock Roundabout follow the R512 (Kilmallock Road) south out of Limerick City for 21km. Pass through Ballyneety and follow the road for a further 4 miles. Take the first left after Reardons Pub in Holycross, then keep left and follow the road to the lakefront in Lough Gur where you will find the Heritage Centre.
