The National Concert Hall offers a variety of programmes linked to the Primary and Post Primary music curriculum
1) General Music Workshops:
Here facilitators introduce instruments, rhythms and music to children in a fun and interactive way. Children also receive the opportunity to create their own pieces of music for performance. Resource packs being developed
2) World Music Workshops:
Using musicians from all across the globe, these workshops introduce children to the rich variety of music and culture from around the globe. Resource packs being developed
3) Master Classes:
These provide the opportunity for Leaving Certificate music students, 3rd level students and general music students to learn from some of the best musicians in the world. Musicians touring with orchestras/ensembles who are performing in The National Concert Hall host these master classes
4) Leaving Certificate Workshops:
These workshops are specifically targeted at students who are taking the Leaving Certificate music exam. The workshops allow students the opportunity to see the set works performed by an orchestra. An expert on the works also provides notes and guides to students during these workshops

Dónal Lunny: A Celebration of Irish Voices at The National Concert Hall

To mark the evening of St. Patrick's Festival, renowned Irish trad folk musician Dónal Lunny will curate and participate in A Celebration of Irish Voices. The evening will feature two of the most important choirs in the country Cór Cúl Aodh and Cór Taobh A' Leithéid along with solo performances by Roisin Elsafty and Eithne Ni Chathain. Expect a colourful and uplifting Irish traditional music experience and an unforgettable night of music and song.
Presented by St. Patrick's Festival in partnership with the Arts Coucil & Raidió na Life.

The KILFENORA CÉILÍ BAND At The National Concert Hall

Recognised as one of the greatest Irish Céilí Bands in the world, the Kilfenora Céilí Band return to the National Concert Hall to set hearts racing and feet tapping with an uplifting session of traditional Irish jigs, reels, polkas and more.The Kilfenora Céilí band will be joined by dancer Michael Donnellan, famed for his lead roles in several touring productions such as Lord of the Dance to the Rhythm of Ireland. The Kilfenora features fiddles, flutes, banjo, and squeezeboxes, with what "Folk Roots" magazine called "one of the tightest rhythm sections in the world". Concert for Haiti

Presented by the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra & The National Concert Hall

'This is part of Ireland's reaction to a catastrophic humanitarian disaster. The musicians of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and soloists are performing music which is an affirmation of the resilience of the human spirit, while empathising with the suffering of our fellow man. Music heals and inspires and hopefully this concert will encourage all to give generously.' Barry Douglas, conductor and piano

The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and soloists take to the stage on Monday 22nd March at 8pm in a concert in aid of Haiti with all proceeds of the concert going to Concern. There is also a pre-concert in the foyer of The National Concert Hall at 7.30pm
