To being to discover the secrets of the Burren, a visit through The Burren Centre in Kilfenora is essential. The story of the Burren is now excitingly captured and impressively presented in "A Walk Through Time" multi-dimensional exhibition. Subliminal ambient aural effects suggest the geological formation of the landscape, its flora and fauna. Beautifully displayed artefacts, original works of art, enthralling audio-visual and interactive experiences together with dramatic life-like reproductions of human activity all combine to provide an insight into the rich history and heritage of the Burren. Revealed to the visitor are the mysteries and complexities of this unique region through the Burren Centre experience. Homely tea rooms await you after your visit to the exhibition to sample some excellent traditional and local cuisine. Crafts are displayed in our creatively designed bright and spacious craft shop. Visit the famed Kilfenora Cathedral, adjacent to the Burren Centre, dedicated to St. Fachan and built in about 1189 on the site of an early monastery.
