Restored and conserved by the Irish Heritage Trust, public guided tours of the House run regularly from April to September. Group tours and learning visits available all year.
Fota House hosts monthly cultural events, including seasonal offerings at Christmas and Easter. When exploring the House, a visit or guided tour of the award winning Victorian Working Garden is a must! Special corporate events and weddings are greatly enhanced by the spectacular surroundings.

Immerse yourself in the charms of this elegant Regency House. Fota House is an Irish Heritage Trust property and one of Ireland’s foremost historic house museums. The House and gardens make an ideal location for corporate events, incentives, product launches, me?etings, conferences and exclusive entertainment.
The Magnificent Dining Room
Their splendid Dining room with its ornate plasterwork and elegant columns was designed with lavish entertaining in mind for John Smith Barry, whose generosity as a host led to him being known as John ‘The Magnificent’. Fota House can cater for up to 20 people in the dining room and this provides the perfect ambience for your formal dining requirements. As a meeting room or conference facility, they can cater for up to 50 people in this space. Rate - €800 per day
The Imposing Entrance Hall
Flanked by screens of scagliola columns, this imposing space was created to impress all who entered it. The Hall is perfect for aperitifs, pre-dinner receptions, photo shoots and product launches and can cater for up to 80 people as a comfortable break out space. Rate - €700 per day
The Baronial Long Gallery
Arthur Hugh Smith Barry added the Long Gallery to Fota House in the 1870s. It’s design, with ornate family crest and dark wood panelling, makes it a space full of character and it is the perfect setting for a range of events. The Long Gallery can accommodate up to 80 seated for dining and conferences, as well as up to 120 for fork suppers, drinks receptions or buffet style events. Rate - €700 per day.
The Splendid Drawing Room
Truly the most splendid room in the house, their Drawing room dates from the 1820s. It is superbly lit by a fine bay of three windows, with mirrored consuls between and looks out onto the gardens to the rear of the house. The Drawing room offers a majestic option for civil receptions, theatre and recitals, with a seating capacity of up to 88 people. When combined with the adjoining ante room, up to 105 people can be seated. Rate - €800 per day

The Flower Room, Pink Room and Bow Bedroom are available for smaller meetings. Rate - from €250 per day
Walled Victorian Working Garden
For something truly unique, why not stage your event in our award winning Victorian Working Garden. In 2015, the Irish Heritage Trust won a major European Heritage award in Education, Training and Awareness for it’s Volunteer initiative, modelled around the Victorian Working Garden. Their beautifully restored bothy building, where the under gardeners lived, offers a rustic setting for smaller gatherings of up to 20 people. Outside, among the charming glasshouses, where organic produce is grown, they can cater for large groups and up to 30 in an outdoor pavilion. This area is ideal for a barbeque or hog roast. Rate - €700 per day
The Bell Meadow
For all your Marquee and outdoor event requirements, the Bell Meadow in front of Fota House offers a unique opportunity to stage large scale activities. If you’re looking to host a public event, corporate BBQ or perhaps a Fair, the Bell Meadow is fully serviced with power and water. Rate - from €2,500 per day
Why not enjoy a tour of this special place as part of your event? A House Tour can be arranged for your group at a reduced rate of €6 per person, reduced from the Public Rate of €8.
