The stories and lives of eight extraordinary women, all of whom had connections with the West of Ireland, are told in panels, emblems and a timeline of Irishwomen’s activities over the past hundred years. They all came from different walks of life. They took risks and seemed to revel in their hardworking lives, demonstrating an undeviating dedication to freedom, equality and fair play. It is a challenge and invitation for us today.
Among them you will find Peg Broderick; Brigid O’Mullane; Eileen Costello; Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington; the Yeats sisters; Bríd Lyons Thornton; Brigid Malone; Mary Spring Rice. Admission is Free.
