This B2B Matchmaking Partnering event, organised by Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland, brings together travel organisations from Ireland’s major markets around the globe, who are interested in collaborating with Irish Tourism interests, for mutual commercial benefit. The event facilitates one-to-one 10-minute pre-scheduled meetings.
As always, Heritage Island will attend this annual event, building upon existing relationships with operators and introducing Ireland’s premier attractions to new operators. This is always a great opportunity for informing the trade as to what’s new with our members and also introducing our new members to them.
We are in great demand with operators at Meitheal this year. We have a full day of appointments and there is also a waiting list of others who have requested to meet with us.

Heritage Island will, once again, attend this annual Meet the Buyer Workshop which takes place on 12th and 13th April. The main workshop will take place on Wednesday 13th April at St George's Market, Belfast.
In 2016, it is hoped to attract around 130 of the world’s most respected tour operators. This year strict criteria have been established to ensure that all the buyers are of high quality and have a real propensity to deliver business and we are looking forward to an extremely successful and productive event in 2016.
Throughout April and May we will continue to communicate with consumers and travel trade professionals worldwide through our print programmes, eNewletters and online channels. While our 'What’s New' printed newsletter has now been printed, we will be continually updating our ‘Member News’ section of the website, so send in your information.
Note: We will have a consumer 'Summer Days Out' newsletter issuing during May (and will feature 'Summer Days Out' on our website, so please send us your news.
We will continue building content on our new Heritage Island website – adding YOUR events as we get them, along with Consumer and Travel Trade news and tour suggestions.
Please, please, please send us in details and images of forthcoming events at your attractions, PARTICULARLY YOUR SUMMER EVENTS. Some of you are excellent at sending on details, however we know that many more of you have wonderful events taking place which we are not hearing about. We want to provide as much exposure for these events as possible, but we need your input.
We need to receive your event details AT LEAST One Month ahead of its start date in order to give trade and consumer reasonable notice. However, the earlier the better. There is no value in putting up any content close-in to its start date. To save you time you can just email us the information - we need the events title, dates, venue, a circa 60-word description, a link to the website it features on (a deep link if you have it); and a good photo image either landscape or square in shape.
We continue to strategically distribute our brochures to consumers and trade, as we move towards the high season. We are working with a number of brochure distribution companies within Ireland and WhereCARDS in Dublin, targeting the visitor holidaying in Ireland, in addition to distribution of guides/discount passes at numerous events over these months.
Orders for the Heritage Island touring guides continue to be received daily via our website and shipped to addresses worldwide. We find that this publication in particular is used as a planning tool by visitors.
Members who have been with us for many years will already be very familiar with our 'Travel Advisor Passes'. We make these selectively available to tour operators, ground handlers, travel writers and media and also to members themselves upon request, to enable free access into member attractions.
Please notify your admissions staff so that they are fully aware of how these work. On the back of each card the company name and expiry date is highlighted – so please check these and we would also recommend asking for a business card, so that you can follow up directly with whoever has visited.

We have now booked space at Bord Bia's 'Bloom In The Park'. It will be taking place in the Phoenix Park Dublin over the June bank holiday weekend, from Thursday 2nd June until Monday 6th June, showcasing exquisite show gardens, from the very best of Ireland’s landscape gardeners and designers. It also showcases Irish food producers. Our stand will be located in the same spot as last year in The Pavilion. All those who attended last year will know it is an excellent location. Visitors to this event are the exact demographic of those who enjoy visiting member attractions. The timing is also excellent – just ahead of the high season.
